The trade nobody ever wants to take…

I don’t say this naively, but I firmly regard being Short Corn here (and Soybeans) as being the “easiest” and highest probability trade that ever comes along…But interestingly, for decades I have seen this set-up be a trade that nobody ever wants to take, quite simply, because with seemingly 99% of analysts having called for a bottom for months on end, endlessly citing supposedly “bullish fundamentals,” and with prices being perceived as “low”, IT JUST BECOMES ALMOST PSYCHOLOGICALLY IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE AVERAGE FARMER OR TRADER TO SAY, “GET ME SHORT HERE. I THINK THERE’S A LONG WAY TO GO ON THE DOWNSIDE.” But that IS what you’re supposed to be doing RIGHT NOW.

I’ve repeated this ad nauseum…This IS a “go with it” situation.

WHAT COMES NEXT? With Corn surprising the whole frigging ag world with its break into new contract lows…including 1000’s of farmers who are STILL holding MASSIVE supplies in their bins from last fall’s harvest, and DO have to sell the majority of that Corn to make room for the new crop that’s coming? AND, who, also, I assure you, ARE beginning to freak out about the dollars that HAVE disappeared…and continue to disappear with every day the market closes lower…? WHAT COMES NEXT…for what I’d say will be the next 4-6 weeks? Just straight ass down as mountains of selling hit the market every day, while at the same time, buyers are fully covered for the next few months and therefore fairly non-existent (and China, btw is NOT bowing to Trump and NOT going to be swooping in to support America’s crop prices)…AND THIS, I BELIEVE, IS THE RECIPE FOR THE BLOWOUT TO SEVERELY LOW PRICES THAT I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR.

I CONTINUE TO RECOMMEND GETTING SHORT CORN…RIGHT HERE…RIGHT NOW.

I ABSOLUTELY BELIEVE IT IS NOW ON THE MOVE…AND HONESTLY DO SEE IT GETTING DOWN VERY CLOSE TO $3.00.

Call me if you want some of this…Lots of ways to do it…with more leverage…or even futures.

More on Soybeans in the next few days…But basically, the SAME STORY.

Thanks,

Bill
